ICNIRP - the International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection
International electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure guidelines followed by the WHO have been developed by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP).
The ICNIRP is an independent scientific commission established by the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA) to advance non-ionizing radiation protection for the benefit of people and the environment. It provides science-based guidance and recommendations on protection from NIR exposure and represents the radiation protection profession world-wide through its close relationship with the IRPA.
ICNIRP is the formally recognised non-governmental organisation in non-ionising radiation (NIR) for the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
